Hello! I’m Greg Ludwig, piano tuner/technician. I would love to help you solve any piano issues that you may encounter.
A Life In Music
I have been a musician, music educator and piano technician for most of my life. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York and a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Eastern New Mexico Univ in Portales, NM, I embarked on a career in music education, teaching students from grades K-12 in three school districts. My focus varied from band, jazz band, choir, elementary and even rock band. I truly treasured my time helping young people develop their musical talents and grow as human beings.
Throughout my life, I have pursued a passion for performing music. Whether it was playing trumpet, guitar, piano or singing in various community settings, I love performing for others. Most recently, I have been performing in a 60's-70’s cover band, LITTLE TOWN, which performs in the Lamar area.
In addition to teaching and performing, I've always had a curiosity for fixing instruments. This led to the desire to work on pianos. During my teaching years, I maintained a part-time piano tuning/repair business in the SE Colorado region, gaining customers strictly by word-of-mouth. My business has always been geared towards tuning and small repairs for private customers, schools, churches and local performance venues.
After teaching for 34 years, I decided to retire from education (May 2026). Now, I am pursuing pianocraft full-time, serving the southeast Colorado region. Whether it is a concert grand or an heirloom spinet, it is a privilege to improve the sound and performance of my customers pianos!
